The Derbyshire Walks app includes simple to use GPS-enabled route maps covering 250 amazing walks of between 1 and 10 miles throughout Derbyshire and the surrounding areas.
**Please note: This app has a subscription fee for accessing the 250 walks in Derbyshire. There is a free trial period where you can try any of the walks for free before deciding if you want to continue the subscription**
Walks include diverse woodland, peaceful riverside, challenging hill walking, open countryside, coastal adventures and city parks.
Detailed maps that track your progress are available offline, so they still work even if you have no internet signal when you are out enjoying the walks.
The maps also include contour detail that helps you to evaluate the difficulty of the walk before you set off.
Filter by woodland, waterside, hill walk and pub walk to easily find the walk that's perfect for your mood.
After each walk, you can fill in the quick questionnaire in the app to feed back valuable information about the walk. We will then use this data to improve the app's walks over time and some of your comments and ratings could be published against each walk to help other users.

I really like this app, really simple following the sat nav, rather than trying to fathom out someone's directions. Lots of nice walks and it tells you how far away they are from you.

I downloaded to try the walk around the Roaches. The map is really good because it has contours on and shows you where you are (signal allowing) and it is easy to flick around (not zooming all the time like google). I'm inspired to try other walks on the app.

Used this twice so far on walks around Castle ton, the accuracy is spot on even with no Internet signal. Feeling confident to try areas I've not been before Only thing I would say would be an improvement would be the ability to alter the map orientation, so it was always pointing the way I was heading

Absolutely useless. Didn't even ahowtmy location on the map. Can't scroll around. Better off with Google Maps.
