I’ve been using the Deye Solar app for a few weeks to monitor my home solar setup, and it’s been pretty reliable overall. The real-time data on energy production and consumption is helpful—I usually check it in the mornings and evenings to see how things are performing. I like the daily and monthly breakdowns to spot trends without digging too much. It took a little getting used to at first, but I figured out. Notifications have been useful too, especially when there’s a drop in output.

The live energy flow map is great, as it lets you visually see the distribution between your panels, home load, and battery storage at a quick glance. App and company are garbage. Firmware bug only charges batteries to 99%. Utterly brand-new 8 kWh inverter isn't able to power house directly from the sun but must drain batteries. A complete fail, avoid like the plague and go for a reputable company like Vic tron. Deye admitted fault but still fighting for them to honor the warranty. You've been warned.

No notification even having top priority and all settings still don't know when grid goes down or back

The battery percentage shown in the app (the SOC) doesn’t match the actual charge left in the physical battery. This only started happening after the app was updated. They’re no longer synced. My battery is already low in real life, but the app still shows 60%. It wasn’t like this before.
