Ein Panorama lädt zum virtuellen Waldspaziergang und Entdecken von Waldbewohnern ein. Tiere, Pflanzen, Pilze, Blumen und Ureinwohner werden anhand von Illustrationen vorgestellt, zu den Tieren lassen sich Tierstimmen anhören. Baumspiel und Waldquiz vermitteln spielerisch Wissen rund um den Wald. Interaktive Grafiken machen sichtbar, wie Wälder gepflegt und erhalten werden, ergänzt durch vielfältige Informationen zu nachhaltiger Forstwirtschaft. Wie hoch ist ein Baum? Mit einer illustrierten Anleitung wird die Baumhöhenmessung zum Kinderspiel. Für weiterführende Informationen sind Links zu Downloads thematisch zusammengestellt.

Die App der Waldfibel wurde komplett überarbeitet. Sie enthält die Inhalte der gedruckten Waldfibel und macht diese spielerisch erlebbar. Sie richtet sich an alle, die sich für Wald und Natur interessieren, insbesondere für Kinder, Schulen und außerschulische Bildungseinrichtungen.

Die kleine Waldfibel ist auch als gedruckte Broschüre erhältlich, die kostenlos über die Website des BMLEH bestellt werden kann. Ein Link zur Publikation ist in der App enthalten.
