Bought the app on the day, and was impressed! Much better value than the audio guide on site (€8 p/device), or the booklet that is also available (€16!), plus you can use it again if you ever go back to Pompeii. Informative and clear audio and text on pretty much all the main buildings, easy to use, and the gps works great. Only things I'd say should be added is the option for a tour path marked on the map covering the most important buildings, and more languages. Fully recommend!

Weren't too happy about it, unfortunately. The gps never showed our proper location even though Google Maps did know perfectly where we were. Hence, we ended up navigating with gMaps and if there was info online we used that. For additional info we manually searched where we were in the app, which wasn't fun in the sun (also the numbers on the location don't match those on the app). Texts are good, but not necessarily better than those free online if you're fine reading). Nice try, but not worth 8

Just a trail, probably a very good app if you buy it. I was prepared for commercials, offers, fewer options, but it only had me at the door of Pompeii and it became unusable. No, thanks. There is a free audio guide online.
