Doodlesong: Draw Music

Doodlesong is a musical sketchpad. Draw a picture, press play, and hear it turn into a looping tune.

A line sweeps across your drawing from left to right. Wherever it meets your ink, a note plays: the higher you draw, the higher the note. Every colour is its own instrument, so a few scribbles quickly become a small band.

You do not need to know anything about music. Every height on the paper snaps to the key and mood you choose, so whatever you draw stays in tune.

HOW IT WORKS
• Draw freely with a finger: smooth lines, no grid
• Left to right is time, low to high is pitch
• A flat line holds one note, a slope climbs the scale, a loop sings in two voices
• Press play and watch the line bring your drawing to life

EIGHT INSTRUMENTS
• Keys, pluck, bell and marimba
• Flute, strings, music box and bass
• Pick a colour to pick the sound

SHAPE THE SOUND
• Eight moods, from sunny and dreamy to moody and smoky
• Twelve keys and a range of two, three or four octaves
• Tempo from 60 to 180 beats per minute
• Three backing beats

MADE FOR PLAYING AROUND
• Undo, redo and an eraser
• A surprise button that draws waves, rings and spirals for you
• Keep as many doodles as you like, each with its own sound settings
• You can keep drawing while the music plays

SIMPLE AND PRIVATE
• No ads
• No account or sign-in
• Works offline
• Your doodles stay on your device

Doodlesong is for anyone who likes to draw, hum or tinker: kids and parents, music teachers, beat makers looking for an idea, or anyone who wants a calm few minutes with sound and colour.

Recent changes:
Tighter timing: every note now starts when the line reaches your ink and fades right after it ends, instead of ringing on for a second or two. Strings, flute and bass come in faster too.
