Aplikacja mobilna Dookoła Świata stanowi część edukacyjnej gry planszowej "Dookoła Świata" Wydawnictwa Science Boards.

W rozgrywce gracze wcielają się w role dziennikarzy-podróżników. Celem gry jest odwiedzenie 10 miast świata w tym czterech, które znajdują się na wylosowanej karcie celów. Początkowy budżet, który otrzymuje każdy gracz nie wystarczy jednak na wszystkie podróże, dlatego w trakcie rozgrywki należy nagrywać odcinki opowiadające o wybranych zabytkach a następnie jes sprzedawać, aby otrzymać wynagrodzenie.

Aplikacja umożliwia graczom wykonywanie ruchów, płacenie za podróże oraz nagrane odcinki, sprzedawnie odcinków, wymianę walut w kantorze oraz stałe monitorowanie stanu swojej podróży.

Aplikacja może działać w trybie podstawowym, w którym używamy tylko jednej waluty (polskich złotówek) oraz w trybie zaawansowanym z wykorzystaniem wielu walut świata.

Gra świetnie wprowadza w świat geografii, bankowości i finansów, ponieważ czy:
- mapy świata
- kontynentów
- państw i miast
- flag
- zabytków

oraz pozwala graczom nabyć takie umiejętności jak posługiwanie się walutami, kantorem, bankowością mobilną, własnym budżetem.
