Drivecast: Road Trip Weather

See the weather on your drive, not just at home. Drivecast forecasts your route for the time you'll reach each point, colors the road by risk and tells you in one line if now is a good time to go.

The forecast for your town isn't the forecast for your drive. A dry morning in Chicago can be freezing rain near Indianapolis by noon. Drivecast shows the snow, ice, fog or wind before you're in it.

WEATHER WHEN YOU GET THERE
• A forecast every 15 minutes or 10 miles, timed to when you'll be there, using real road speeds
• Temperature, feels-like, precipitation chance and type, wind direction, gusts, crosswind and visibility
• Live station observations correct the first hours in the US, Canada, Germany, Finland, Sweden and Norway
• Overview: a plain-language verdict and the worst point. Timeline and Details: every point and charts.

SAFEST ROUTE
• 2–3 routes, compared by weather, not just by time
• Colored green, amber or red, purple where ice is likely
• Snow, ice, freezing rain, heavy rain, thunderstorms, fog, low visibility, strong gusts and crosswind relative to the road
• Add stops with stay times, avoid tolls, highways or ferries

BEST TIME TO LEAVE
Tap "Leave now" for the departure heatmap, colored by the worst weather you'd meet, and one line like "Leave 7:00 AM to avoid the snow near Nashville." 48 hours ahead free, 7 days with Pro.

ALERTS ON YOUR ROUTE
Warnings on your route, with issuer and time: US (National Weather Service), Canada, Germany, Norway, Finland, and the UK, Sweden, Slovenia, Estonia and Iceland via MeteoAlarm.

RADAR AND ROAD CAMERAS
• Animated radar for the US, Canada, Germany and Finland
• Road cameras along the route in California, British Columbia and Iowa

DRIVING MODE (PRO)
• Follows you along the route with the next 60 minutes ahead
• Live notification: "Heavy rain in 12 mi · 9:40 PM"
• Spoken warnings, so your eyes stay on the road
• Re-routes if you leave the route, refreshes every 10 minutes
No "allow all the time" location: only while the app or Driving mode is in use.

MADE FOR YOUR VEHICLE
