Description
This is a revival of the "music-synthesizer-for-android" project. It has been updated to run on newer Android devices.
The app emulates the classic DX7 FM synth. It currently comes with just the standard, default sound bank.
Supports: * User loadable DX7 patch bank sysex (syx) files * MIDI In (user selectable channel) * scroll-able, 6 octave onscreen keyboard, selectable for 1 or 2 row display * cutoff, resonance, overdrive controls (mapped to midi CC)
In the future more features may be added, such as: * support for the newer Android MIDI API * editing patches

Really good, for a first release. I have noticed some stuff, though. The instrument/cutoff/resonance/overdrive do not get saved when we exit the app... Also, I am not sure that the Compose options works on phones. I can not test it on a tablet, though. I would suggest fixing the above-mentioned bugs, and adding more sound fonts.

Really nice. But it needs the ability to record within the app. Then 5 stars. Of course, patch editing would be ideal too, but the fact you can import patches is very good.

It's not a synth, no LFO, no oscillators. It's trying to be GM romper, but with few bugs - instruments number don't match voice timbre standard, no CC, sustain don't work. On the bright side it's not a bad app, minimalistic and fast (and floss?), doesn't ask for unnecessary privileges. I wish I could provide just feedback without rating. Dev does have potential. Gl 🤓
