Description by Nilorea Studio(from Google Play)
DroidMorse turns your phone into a Morse code station.
SEND • Flash the whole screen in your own colours, blink the flashlight, play a tone and/or vibrate - one output or all of them at once. • 39 ready-made messages in five groups: emergency (SOS, help, I am lost...), status, social, radio and practice. • Type your own message, save it as a preset, send it once or loop it until you stop. • Keeps going with the screen locked (sound, flashlight, vibration).
RECEIVE • Point the camera at a blinking light - another phone's screen, a flashlight, a lamp - and the message is decoded live. • The speed is detected by itself. Move the detection square onto the light with one tap. • Every message is kept with its raw dots and dashes, so a misread letter is easy to fix. Copy it, send it back or save it as a preset.
KEY BY HAND • Send by tap: hold the pad for the signal, it drives the screen, flashlight, tone and vibration live and is decoded as you go. • Iambic paddles: dots on the left, dashes on the right, squeeze both to alternate (modes A and B). • Transcribe: tap along with a signal you see or hear, DroidMorse writes it down.
MADE FOR THE FIELD • Works completely offline. No account, no ads, no tracking: the app has no internet access. • Adjustable speed (unit or words per minute), dash and gap lengths, tone pitch, latency compensation for the flashlight, sound and vibration. • English, French, Spanish, German and Italian, messages included. • Light and fast: native code, starts in an instant.
Morse code is still the simplest way to signal with whatever you have at hand: a light, a sound, a vibration. Practise it, play with it, and have it ready when it matters.
Recent changes: New: send and receive at the same time (experimental). On the Receive screen, "Send + receive" keeps the camera receiving while you send a message by sound, vibration or flashlight. Fixes: the Send button works on the first tap with the keyboard open, the received text is no longer cut in landscape, clearer German texts.
