I wanted an editor that could quickly edit documents that are a megabyte or more in size. Droid Vim seems fine editing and searching through such documents. (I'll never use "advanced" features such as programming language support, so I can't comment on those.) I've found the developer to be quick and helpful in response to questions via email. It took me a while to adjust to Droid Vim's modes and commands, but I'm now very pleased with it.

Finally! Yes! On my Linux computer at home vim is my all-time favorite tool to use in the terminal, this is beyond epic thank you so much for porting this to Android as an app, now I don't have to figure out how to root my phone and possibly damage it. :)

5 starts for Vim. But actually unusable on touch device without physical keyboard. Perhaps with a better `.vimrc` it could be configured to be usable. E.g. by following gestures as mouse movement scan codes or something and mapping them to commands. Haven't tried.

"Application ID is not correct" error when trying to enter external modules menu

The app it's self is quite well put together, but it lacks a compiler, and a runtime environment. Perhaps you could build those into a new app, and run it native? I would buy it myself, and there is no real competition apart from programming hub's online RE, and theirs has a number of issues. I have also been struggling to get vim to access other folders, so I can easily access it with my compiler (the PRU one ;)). I think it lacks the needed permissions but it won't ask for them.

Cursor is shown in wrong place as you type. I know this worked fine when I used it sometime back

Save not working. I edited a file and :w saved. It says saved, but when I opened the file again, it still has the original content
