iDrumTune is the first and by far the most intelligent and accurate system for analyzing drum sounds and assisting tuning – developed by drummers, music producers and acoustics research Professors. iDrumTune provides you with a measurement of the drumhead vibration frequency, much in the same way to an acoustic guitar tuner, which measures the vibration frequency of a guitar string. In Pitch Tuning mode, you simply hold the device microphone over the center of a drum, about 2-4 inches away, and strike the drum in the center.
The iDrumTune readout shows the recorded sound waveform and gives the strongest frequency recorded. There is also a tuning indicator bar which shows the drumhead tuning relative to musical notes, so iDrumTune can be used to ensure that your drums are in key with each other or the song you are playing. A frequency spectrum view also allows more detailed analysis and helps with tuning the drum at the lug positions.
IDrumTune Pro provides advanced tuning features including an intelligent filter function, Lug Tuning mode and Resonant Head Tuning mode. The filter allows unwanted frequencies to be ignored by the analysis algorithm, whilst Lug Tuning mode offers the simplest and most innovative method for tuning an even frequency response at the lug positions on the drumhead.

I have this on my Google Pixel 3 and so far so good! Definitely makes tubing drums easier, and I can say following the pitch, then lug, and then resonant relation, toms are sound really good. There are a few things that are annoying like having to go back to main menu and then back into certain functions, but maybe it's just me not knowing certain things. I did have an issue this last time when I couldn't get RTF to change even thought I kept changing tuning, but just showed me RTF of 1.

I have been playing for 30 plus years and really didn't think about actually tuning drums until the last few years, so I have been experimenting a lot. The pitch and lug tuning are straight forward and get you 75% of the way there but the resonant tuning tool is an eye-opener. I used the suggested 1.5 ratio and the drums just sing. My drums have never sounded better. Would like to see some way of saving settings or drum kits like I have seen on a few other apps.

I have been a garage drummer for 45 plus years. Always had trouble tuning my drums. Bought the tension dial thingy, tried by ear, watched many videos. I installed the IDrum Tune Pro. My cheap Ludwig snare was close to what I wanted it to sound but never could get that sweet spot. I read your Idrum manual and in 1 hour I finally got that snare to sound really sweet. I never thought about the frequency while tuning. And the 1.75 tuning technic is what did it for me. Very nice product. Best $6.99

I love this app!! Yeah, I was initially put off by some poor ratings but took the plunge based on the videos. I'm glad I trusted my gut, and it works just fine. Simply get the drums near enough in tune by ear and start working with the app to do the rest. Getting the batter and reso heads to sing with the 1.5RTF figure can seem like 1 step forwards and 2 back at times, but it does work - just make very minor adjustments to both heads as per screen instructions. It's well worth the cost, anyway.

Not great, it's just not accurate enough, hit my snare a couple of times in the same place and got different readings, it's a great idea but just not accurate enough, wish it gave accurate notation readings as well as Hz

Not accurate on lower frequencies at all. Hit the floor tom, and it will measure 115 even though I'm nowhere near that high in pitch, hit it again and this time it measures 54, which would be even lower than my bass drum tuning. I guess you get what you paid for. Should have just bought a tune bot instead.

Not worth the money. It's not nice to use. Pixelated graphics and the menu/back buttons don't work because they are too small and on the edge of the screen (ported from an old iphone?). The lug tuning feature is unusable. Its wildly inaccurate when hitting the same lug in the exact same place. The main pitch tuning feature does at least work with the filter engaged. I contacted the developers about these issues and got no reply. So don't expect any support.
