Duo Flex

Duo Flex adds fold-responsive effects to supported Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip devices: book-like depth, glass-like blur, rounded edges and ambient light.

WHY IS WIRELESS DEBUGGING REQUIRED?

Duo Flex uses a connection helper to read folding information and display effects over other apps. Some system functions require additional setup.

Starting or reconnecting the helper requires trusted Wi-Fi and Wireless debugging ON. The in-app guide explains the settings, their effects and how to undo them.

BANKING AND SECURITY APPS

Some banking and security apps restrict use while debugging is enabled.

Turning Duo Flex effects OFF does not turn off your phone's debugging settings. If another app reports a restriction, follow its instructions to disable USB debugging, Wireless debugging or other relevant settings.

This may end the Duo Flex connection. Restore the required settings and reconnect over Wi-Fi to use effects again. Restrictions vary by app.

MOVE TO REVEAL. PAUSE TO FADE.

• Fold or unfold to show effects on the inner screen and a supported cover screen.
• Pause for about 1 second: effects fade out over 0.4 seconds to reveal your normal screen. The switch stays ON.
• Small jitters of around 1–2° are ignored. Fold or unfold clearly to restore effects.
• Preview inner and cover effects in the app.
• Follow your device language or choose from 16 languages.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

• Android 14 or later and the primary user account.
• Developer options, Wireless debugging pairing, Samsung Auto Blocker OFF and a supported Samsung fold-responsive wallpaper.
• Accessibility, display-over-other-apps and notification permissions, plus separate screen-processing consent.

Turning Auto Blocker off disables that protection. Wireless debugging permits debugging commands from a computer or app authenticated through pairing. Use a trusted environment and do not share pairing codes.

Review the changes and removal steps first. Security acknowledgement, pairing, accessibility, screen processing and advertising consents remain separate.

Support depends on device capabilities and system settings; not every model or OS is guaranteed. Not for non-folding phones.

CONNECTION AND USAGE

• Effects can be turned OFF and ON without Wi-Fi only while the authenticated connection remains alive. Wi-Fi disconnection, network changes or system conditions may end it. Reconnect over Wi-Fi if it ends.
• Automatic start after reboot is not supported. Reconnect and enable effects manually.
• Effects hide on lock, settings, permission and protected screens. They do not bypass security or your lock.
• Unlock the cover screen before opening from a closed position.
• Cover effects may resume with a short delay. Turn effects off if video playback stutters.
• Unfold a Fold device for easier setup.

EFFECTS OFF AND FULL REMOVAL

Effects OFF stops screen processing but retains the authenticated connection after normal cleanup. It does not disable debugging or revoke permissions.

To fully remove Duo Flex, open Settings → Stop using & fully remove for steps to disconnect, remove pairing and the app key, revoke permissions, disable unneeded debugging and restore Auto Blocker.

PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY

Accessibility checks window position, type and focus to place effects and hide them on protected screens. It does not read node text or input, or perform gestures.

After separate consent, screen images are processed only in device memory. They are not saved or transmitted.

HELP US IMPROVE

If something goes wrong, preview a diagnostic report in the app and send it to the developer yourself. Reports are not sent automatically. Preserve the report before restarting or reconnecting.

Setup can be cumbersome. We will keep simplifying it and improving connection reliability and ease of use.
