[NEW UPDATE, 190725, Av15, SM-A546U] I'm switching from Drupe to this app. Don't get me wrong. (1) I love Drupes layout. The transparency of the in-call wallpaper (2) The simplicity of the overall process of the app. [SUMMARY] But DW for some od reason (A) Runs 300% faster than Drupe (B) Has more power to contact tools (C) Doesn't have call recording features since Google broke that feature after AD9. (D) It looks like ram Usage is 200% lower with DW than with Drupe.

If you got this app because you didn't want to give Google Phone and Contacts access to your information, think again! This app doesn't work unless you give Google Phone and Contacts full access, and even then it still doesn't work properly. It feels like this is an app that cannot run without Google Phone and Google Contacts. Furthermore, my phone (Android 13) only gives an option to set Google Phone as default app (DW dialer does not appear as a default option). Bottom line: Unreliable.

It has worked great for several years. Major problem NOW is when phone rings, the app does NOTHING. It does not get on top of all apps to let you answer the call. It won't even pop up when nothing else is on the screen. Tried reloading app & it was working for a day or two, then stopped working again. I can't put up with this. Have to look elsewhere!!!

Since the 11/6/23 "Update", you can't answer calls anymore. The suggestions on their website to fix this major screwup don't work - except perhaps the third one, which is to disable the DW app. I haven't tried that yet. I have paid for the Pro version.
