Description
E-library is a free app for users to access thousands of e-books, audiobooks and digital magazines. You can borrow e-books and audiobooks for two weeks, after which they are automatically returned with no late fees. E-library contains resources in Finnish, Swedish and English as well as some material in other languages.
On your first login, use strong authentication and set up a passkey for faster access next time.
You can download and install E-library for your child. The selection includes reading and listening options suitable for children of all ages.
E-library can be used by anyone whose municipality of residence has joined the service. The E-library is a shared service for municipalities. It is provided by the National Library of Finland in cooperation with public libraries.

Very good variety of books and magazines to read freely. Thanks. App should be able to lock on portrait or landscape mode. Now it doesn't work and view is jumping from mode to another. Very annoying when reading magazines on mobile. Samsung Galaxy S22.

Unable to play an audiobook, retrying crashes the app and a popup recommends coming back after a fix to a bug has been implemented. (edit: clearing all data and cache helped. App's clunky, particularly search and sort functions, but it works and yay for libraries!)

It looks pretty enough and sometimes, when an audiobook actually loads, it mostly works (apart from cutting off the end bit of each chapter). But mostly, books don't load and can't be listened to, so the app is essentially useless for anything except frustration tolerance training. If the basic functions can be fixed, I'd appreciate the possibility to save titles in a wish list or similar. Given the very long waiting times for many audiobooks, the 5 book reservation limit is too small.

Would prefer this works as well in English or Swedish as it does in Finnish. Select genre, then filter language. This does not work in the app. This requires a development to link between the genre or category names of each language. You do not even give genre for other language books. Additionally, there is a huge difference between young adult and children readers, grouping them is a strange choice. Consider how Libby works, or any other international app.

Only magazines work on my phone, books you can only browse and loan but not read nor listen to. Magazines don't remember the issue previously read, let alone the page. Security works: if your screen auto-rotates, you are thrown out of the magazine. You need to log in every six days. You get the impression reading itself is a security risk, so it is made difficult or impossible. First things first!
