It's a decent app since I do not have any other form of metronome I do not know if it is correct or not but I assume it is, as for it not sounding like a flit it's not meant to that is for ear tuning you play your flute at he same time you play the note on the app and see if you can hear a diffrences if you aren't interested in ear training you can press the button that I believe should be at the bottom of the screen play your note and the app will tell you whether your flat or sharp.
