Echo: Voice Recorder & Memos

Record anything with a single tap: lectures, meetings, interviews, voice memos and song ideas. Echo is a voice recorder and dictaphone with no time limits, no account and no cloud. Echo never uploads your recordings.

Record without limits
• Unlimited recording length and number of recordings
• M4A (AAC), WAV or lossless FLAC, mono or stereo, with optional automatic gain
• Pause, resume and drop markers on the moments that matter
• Keeps recording in the background and with the screen off
• Saves automatically if a call or a low battery interrupts you
• A live waveform that follows your voice

Home-screen widgets
Start a recording from your home screen, see today's recording time or open your latest recordings. A Record shortcut on the app icon takes you straight to the recorder.

Find and organize
• Search your recordings by title
• Folders, color tags, notes and favorites
• Recently deleted: a recording you delete stays there for 30 days, so you can bring it back

Listen your way
• Playback speed from 0.5x to 3x, skip silence, A-B repeat, skip back and forward
• Background playback, a sleep timer and markers on the waveform

Edit WAV recordings
Trim, split, delete sections and fade, right on your phone. Every edit is saved as a new recording; the original stays.

Your recorder, your look
Choose a color theme and a waveform style for the recorder, in light or dark mode.

Private by design
• Recording, playback and editing work offline
• App lock with your fingerprint, face or screen lock; a recording in progress keeps going while Echo is locked
• Hide Echo's preview in your recent apps
• Back up everything to one file. Before a restore, Echo shows what will be added and skips the recordings you already have
• Import audio files from your phone

Echo Pro
A one-time purchase unlocks every theme and waveform style, and app lock.

Who it is for
Students recording lectures, professionals capturing meetings, journalists recording interviews, musicians saving song ideas, and anyone who wants a fast, private sound recorder.

Echo works on phones and tablets, in 12 languages. Call recording is not supported, in line with platform rules and consent laws.
