España será un lugar privilegiado este verano. ¿Ya tienes tu punto de observación para el eclipse de 12 de agosto 2026?
Explora el eclipse desde cualquier ubicación de la península Ibérica con esta app.

Incluye:

Mapa de la franja de totalidad
Street View del horizonte real
Curva de brillo y fase del eclipse en tiempo real.
Predicción de nubosidad para el momento del eclipse desde 48h antes mediante el modelo AROME.
Nubosidad en tiempo real a partir de datos Meteosat.

La aplicación simula la posición del Sol y la Luna en el cielo durante el eclipse de Sol, superponiendo los astros sobre imágenes de Street View. Hemos simulado el eclipse, dando como resultado la la sombra de la luna sobre la superficie terrestre, la curva de magnitud del eclipse, su duración y sus distintas fases en cualquier punto de la península Ibérica y las islas Baleares. La aplicación hace fácil elegir desde que sitio observar el eclipse total de Sol, evitando zonas con arboles, edificios o relieve que impida la observación.

Instrucciones:
· Busque una población o toque en las regiones marcadas en azul del mapa para fijar el punto de observación. La región dentro de la línea de puntos negros es la franja de totalidad y la línea de puntos rojos corresponde a la centralidad.
· Se carga Street View para visualizar el horizonte real desde la posición seleccionada.
· La curva de magnitud muestra cómo evoluciona el eclipse en la ubicación seleccionada. Los valores bajo la curva son los contactos del eclipse (explicación mas abajo) y la duración de la totalidad (DUR).
· Mueva el deslizador de HORA para ver la fase del eclipse en cada instante.
· Aconsejamos buscar zonas sin edificios y con un margen de 3° para asegurar la completa observación de la corona solar durante el eclipse.
· La previsión meteorológica y la nubosidad en el momento actual se encuentran en la pantalla B, accesible desde el boton (B) en la parte superior derecha.

Contactos:
· C1: Primer contacto externo. La Luna empieza a tocar el disco solar. Inicio del eclipse parcial.
· C2: Primer contacto interno. La Luna cubre completamente el Sol. Inicio de la totalidad (solo en la franja de totalidad).
· C3: Segundo contacto interno. El Sol comienza a reaparecer. Fin de la totalidad.
· C4: Segundo contacto externo. La Luna abandona el disco solar. Fin del eclipse parcial.
