Update 12/26/24. The new update fixed my main complaint which was that the app wouldn't work about half the time. Sometimes it wouldn't load anything at all. Other issue I had previously with my main filter not turning off when selecting "off" in app seems to be fixed now but too early to know 100%. New update has been in for about 5 days and so far it works really well. It is very nice to have a dedicated app on my phone to control my filters. I have 3 of these 5e filters and they work great.

After uninstalling and reinstalling the app and linking up the filter again, every thing works now. Interesting how much information is displayed about the canister filter pretty impressive the amount of control user has access to. Never had a canister filter with this much technology.

Super glitchy. Have to keep trying the same thing over and over again for anything to work such as finding lights or filter. Now it won't even load.

The experience so far is not positive. Pairing the device to my phone didn't work straight away. I finally managed to connect to the Eheim Wi-Fi hotspot, but the app doesn't connect most of the time. I'm now troubleshooting an apparently bricked device. All very frustrating and poorly engineered.

Worst app I've ever used, never connects to the heater. I tried to go in and figure out why the red light was on in my aquarium, couldn't even pull up the heater settings, but somehow the heater then heated way too hot, and it killed my fish. It was so hot it burned me when I pulled it out of the tank. It should have been set to 70 °F. I'm NEVER buying a heater that uses this brand's app ever again.
