Description
This application plans routes and show the elevation profile along it. It shows the altitude of a route.
Enter origin and destination, the app will automatically plan route and show the elevation profile along the route. You can also *long tap* on the map to quickly set origin and destination.
********* ATTENTION ********** I'm sorry, because Google rises their API price by a large amount, and I cannot afford it. I temporarily disabled the search function, and am working to find a substitute.
However, you can still long tap on the map to set origin and destination as a workaround.

Alan, nice app but what are the chances of getting it like on my IPad, where I can draw a line anywhere , as if I was hiking in a straight line or a winding walk and get a profile. Yours is set to a profile, as if you are waking on a road or known trial, which is a known route. Moving along the profile and showing the elevation as you move it across the profile if awesome. I'd pay for that feature I mentioned above. There is another android app that does that but the profile is so far off it is sickening.

After upgrading to Android 11, it will crash after selecting destination. In Android 10, after selecting destination, it may say 'This region does not support travel mode.'.

Brilliant idea, poor execution. 1. Unable to dynamically update the actual position on the elevation graph when driving along the planned route. Useless for me. 2. App does not work in landscape mode. 3. Unable to switch to full-screen mode. 4. Unable to prevent screen saver to kick-in when in fullscreen mode. (I am using three other navigation apps and they have this feature). 5. Unable to display the elevation graph only, fullscreen and in landscape orientation. 6. Unable to display the elevation graph on a solid color background. Showing semi-transparent graph over the underlying map is obviously a bad idea (visually, and it eats the processor power). 7. Unable to properly select existing places: the app deviates unpredictably from the Google map search results. Example: Pettneu am Arlberg. Google Maps shows (correctly) a point in the village center, whereas Elevation shows an unnamed point on a hiking trail somewhere in the woods, high in the mountains. Confusing behavior.
