When I am scrolling on my phone it won't let me scroll continuously. It jumps back to the first collection of movies on my screen. Is there a reason why ? Woops. Never mind. Lol I was using this one on my phone. I installed the Emby for android just now. Works great. Lol 😆 #woops

I was using jellyfin, and it was great, but I had some technical issues, and simply didn't have time to troubleshoot. I don't like some aspects of plex. Emby has been great! I love that you can restrict content per user based on a whitelist of tags. That means I can tag the kids content and only that will show up on their profile. Jellyfin can only blacklist tags, so I have to tag all the non-kids content, and anything I miss shows on their profile. Emby can also blacklist tags if you want.

As a long-time Plex server/app user who has recently switched to Emby, their software works great. I made the switch once they supported hardware accelerated HDR color mapping since many of my clients are not UHD, and need conversion. Emby puts MY MEDIA first unlike Plex, which shoves their online content in your face every chance they get, all the while ignoring issues from paying users. Recently, Emby wasn't showing movie/TV trailers on my Nvidia Shield TV 2019 model. I googled it, found a thread where someone posted the issue, where the Emby devs saw it, responded and fixed it promptly, and it's now working. I'm running the server on Unraid in a docker with clients running on everything from web browsers, android and ios phones, and android/ios based dedicated streaming clients, and it just works. Bravo!!!

Really disappointing. Envy have now removed the option to unlock the app. So now I just get told to contact the envy server owner, instead of being able to pay to unlock the app playback nag screen. As I have no way to contact the owner, the fact that emby have removed this option REALLY SUCKS. Now I can't have playback on my device, so it's completely useless

Purchased to unlock and try to watch a movie on my Nvidia shield, and it tells me that I need to unlock. I click unlock, and it gives me an error stating that I already own this and will not unlock to allow me to watch a movie. Tried to get a refund, but there is no refund option. I just lost my money for something that does not work with no way to get it back. What a waste!

Why would I want to pay for this to stream my own stuff? This isn't Netflix, it's my server. I'll just use Jellyfin instead. Player is bad anyway.
