HEAR ME OUT. Ok the app is pretty trash and that's an important fact considering this is the app play store. THE MOBILE WEBSITE IS REALLY GOOD. Fine don't use the app, whatever. You actually really don't need the app. The mobile site works way better, and it's actually decently priced on there. Like $6 a month for gender filters which is the cheapest I have seen yet

So far so good app has been updated takes a little bit to find your way around and if you don't purchase the gold tier you'll spend most the time being skipped but others as a time waster it's effective and those rare few that do stick around and talk are people you would never meet in 10 lifetimes

I've used Emerald Web since I found it after the Omegle ban, and after seeing that Emerald had a mobile app, I was ecstatic. I love working on my social anxiety talking to people (not sure if that makes sense to anyone but whtevr). It's good to use, relatively easy to navigate, but I will say, sometimes on the "casual talk" chat section, there are (again) SOMETIMES nudity seen. You can normally tell, and also if you report it, you'll see that person again da next day. other than that, great app.

This app is full or predators. It's frankly gross how horrible the moderation is. I hope you fix whatever the hell is going on. The amount of people who thought I was underage and were okay with that is just messed up.
★☆☆☆☆The Derb Wanderer· Aug 26, 2026
Emerald chat is a frustrating attempt at a chat room moderation is basically non-existent or plain malicious, refusing to do anything of actual note to users who are ruining otherwise enjoyable times. The option to pay to avoid a ban is stupidity in the highest. If someone is clearly breaking the rules enough to be banned, letting them pay is just idiotic when you can just make a brand-new account to dodge bans anyway. Lack of punishment by mods or admins makes the community extremely toxic

The apps gold subscription is buggy and pretty overpriced in my opinion and on top of that the app is crawling with predators. This app needs to be removed along with the site being taken down truly horrible
