Great idea, poor local playback quality. Agree with one of the top reviews. The audio playback from local media is really awful and has constant and annoying sound when switching songs. The songs sounded very poor, despite the fact that they are high quality encodes. Idea is great, love the concept of open source and the widget. But it has a long way to go, specially talking about local files playback.

Battery drainer - also, artists tab needs to be sorted by album artist For over 9 months the battery drain issue has not been fixed. Would love to use this app, especially considering it's open source, but it's not possible with this big issue. Also, the artists tab needs to be sorted by album artist, not track artist. We don't need to have a separate folder for every band collaboration or every artist in a compilation album.

Edit: unfortunately this awesome player won't work on my device (redmi note 4, 4g ram and snapdragon 625). I have a very large library (more than 10k songs), and the app loads them every time it is opened and it makes the app crashes. This could be the best music player ever. Chromecast support, lyrics, streaming like Spotify supported. But there's an annoying bug when music is playing and you try to access your storaged songs. It lags and forces close, so it is impossible to use.
