I've used this app on my Android since 2013. It was recommended to me by a Spanish woman (i.e. from Spain) whose husband works at Apple. (The app comes for Apple phones, too.) I lived in Spain for four years and have a Master’s degree in Spanish Literature (UCLA; Dec., 1993). The app has never let me down. It covers Peninsular (Spanish from Spain) and New World (i.e. Spanish from South American and Caribbean countries). It covers words' different connotations and denotations. Very useful resource

Great on iOS; terrible on Android I have this app on my iPhone and love it--it deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it for Android. It hangs constantly and has to be restarted. It often can't find words that are certainly in the dictionary. The iOS version is outstanding. Please fix it on Android--it's full of bugs!
