Not really that idle. You have to be actively starting skills unless you want to spend 1 gem every time they auto start, 1 gem is equal to $0.01 based on packs in the store. I thought I just had to use one to activate it and didn't realize until about a minute later I had lost like 12 gems. $0.12 a minute is a lot. And that's per skill. And being reborn gets you very, very little compared to upgrade prices and there are 3 options that cost gems. I don't recommend the game.
