Description
EpiMonitor is a seizure monitor and seizure alert system designed to keep people with epilepsy safe. The only device and app combination fully cleared by the FDA, EpiMonitor is powered by the EmbracePlus watch, the successor to the Embrace bracelet. It can monitor your epilepsy, detect possible seizures, and help maintain an accurate epilepsy diary inside the app, including sleep and activity tracking. With EpiMonitor by Empatica, you can track seizures, share alerts with loved ones, and better understand your epilepsy.
Key features:
Automated and manual real-time seizure alerts Receive automatic seizure alerts when a possible convulsive seizure is detected. Caregivers are notified via automatic text message (SMS) and phone call, helping ensure timely assistance.
Comprehensive epilepsy and seizure diary
Log seizures, triggers, and symptoms in a digital seizure diary. Track seizure history, download reports, and share data with your healthcare provider. Entries can be downloaded as a PDF and easily shared with family members or healthcare providers.
Sleep and activity tracking
Track sleep and daily activity alongside seizure data to identify trends and patterns. Medical-grade FDA-cleared with an algorithm that detects 98% of generalized tonic-clonic seizures.
Alert sensitivity controls
Choose the sensitivity of the algorithm depending on where you are and who you are with, reducing the chance of false alerts when you're more active and increasing sensitivity during inactive periods, such as rest or sleeping.

Compared to the Embrace2, this has a vast comparison in monitoring technology in order to help detect seizures. The False Alarms have quite diminished as well. A study is being conducted at this moment to help forecast seizures. I've joined myself. I wonder what the future withholds for us in terms of safety. This is huge. Any False Alarms I make sure to review to help my watch in future regard. If there is a question be sure to PLEASE contact customer service with questions. They are well versed

This app and smartwatch provides the only FDA validated seizure monitor. It's much improved over their earlier one, which was also FDA validated, but this one has days of battery life and has even fewer false alarms - the best on the market according to FDA's tests.

After constant false alarms (which disrupted my son's sleep thus putting him at risk of a seizure) & dropped Wi-Fi even when right next to the phone, I put it back in the box. I saw an email recently about improvements so charged it, updated the app & firmware, & wore it myself (I do not have epilepsy); it signaled 2 seizure alerts, one while I was sitting. Shocked & very disappointed in this product. It's going back in the box & I canceled the subscription.

App tells me that device has disconnected from the internet around 25+ times per day. That is despite my Internet being fine. A get an alarm that I must turn off on the watch each time. Sometimes these alarms continuously happen one after another - implying that turning off the alarm doesn't even do anything to silence the issue. Update: Emphatic has failed to respond to this issue.

Goes off whenever it wants to. I'll be sitting down doing nothing, and it starts buzzing. Light walking? Buzz. Laying down? Buzz. Feeling perfectly fine? Buzz. It's now constantly complaining about being out of range of my phone's connection despite being literally right next to it as I am typing this. It's only been a few weeks. For an FDA approved product this was a waste.
