Today, different techniques are tried to be developed around the world in non-operative eyelid applications performed with Plasma Energy.
Other than the practices done with conventional methods in Turkey and abroad, two doctors from Turkey are able to implement a different technique. Dr. Ersin Işılar is one of these two physicians. With this technique called the PLEXRING technique, results that make a difference in many ways are obtained. With the results obtained from a total of 400 case studies, success has been achieved in terms of permanence time equivalent to surgery. This period is on average 4-5 years. However, advantages have been obtained in many aspects compared to surgery.
Applications using plasma energy give good results in skin and mucosa. With PLASMA, the application can be done only on skin at this stage. Cells called keratinocytes located in the epidermis, the surface layer of the problematic and aging-related skin, are targeted. Again, the melanin pigment in the epidermis can be destroyed and the local skin darkening (hyperpigmentation) can be treated. Keratinocyte and melanin are converted from solid state to gas by sublimation created by plasma energy. Thus, it is destroyed by evaporation. Then the tissue repairs itself again with re-epithelialization. The renewed skin texture is more compact, fresh, free from melanin and pink in color. It completes its maturation in about 8-12 weeks.
While the results in conventional Plasma-Plexr applications are quite effective in mild to moderate skin aging, it is mild or not effective at medium and advanced levels of skin aging.
PLEXRING TECHNIQUE, unlike conventional Plasma-Plexr applications, is highly effective in medium and advanced aged skin tissue. It has become an alternative to surgery, especially with the application technique developed as a result of clinical studies and different supportive treatments after it. Domestic and international health centers still apply surgery in moderate and advanced cases.
Another aspect of the PLEXRING technique different from the Conventional Plasma-Plexr technique is the permanence of the process as a result of case studies. While it can achieve a maximum permanence of 8-10 months in conventional Plasma-Plexr applications, an average of 4-5 years of permanence has been achieved with the PLEXRING technique. The mentioned average permanence time of 4-5 years is also the permanence time of surgical applications. Therefore, the permanence time in the state of wellness obtained by surgery has reached the same point with PLEXRING.
Dr. Ersin Işılar who put forth and named the Plexring technique, obtained very different results with conventional Plasma-Plexr applications as the outcome of his clinical studies. In addition to working on cases that attracted attention abroad and on joint case studies abroad, Dr. Ersin Işılar also teaches about the Plexring technique.
Other advantages of PLEXRING compared to surgical applications are also important in terms of preference. One of them is that it does not have the risk of complications that may happen with surgery. Serious complications such as Infection, Bleeding, Deep Tissue damages, Asymmetry, Ectropion, Cornea Being Left Open, Permanent Scar, Dry Eye, Chronic Pain, Eyelash Loss, Surgical Anesthesia, Delayed Recovery and Blindness may happen in surgery, but these do not occur in PLEXRING. Only spotting, as a common result, after surgery or PLEXRING may happen. Risks that may occur in the skin is minimized by controlling structural and environmental factors. The patient has to spend this process, especially protecting himself from UV and daylight.
In PLEXRING, there are also cases where eyelid application is not done. These can be listed as follows;
Ptosis (droopy eyelid due to unilateral or bilateral muscle function loss)
Hernia in the Lids
Advanced adipose tissue accumulation
