SOLUTION to default language is Japanese--Go to settings and change it to English! (There are still a few places Japanese shows up, but they were messages ("your object slots are full" and "exit"are the two I noticed--screenshot to Google Translate works great if there are others you see). Overall the game is very good. Lovely art. My main problem was the incessant beeping everytime I moved, and all the back and forth between rooms. The mini-puzzles are easy(with one exception), but oddly enough the game play and finding objects can be much trickier. I liked the special effects. Good hint system. Overall worth playing.

1 long puzzle with lots of scenes. I chose English and the initial part was in English but then there was a message in Japanese that seemed to pop up when I had 5 items in my toolkit that was telling me that I couldn't add one more when I was trying to. I didn't figure that out until later in the game. A little frustrating but still fun

I'm giving it 5 stars for the graphics, music, atmosphere and ideas. The logic plays tricks on you but it makes sense. I won't spoil but the mechanism isn't like other games. A bit monotonous at times and navigation a bit confusing but I really enjoyed it overall. I will be trying all the others now.
