Escape Game - 2018

★★★★★ Excellent, just the right level of difficulty for a relaxing game. Appreciate that you have a choice of just a hint or the whole answer when you are stuck. Clues all make sense, but there are some that require extra thought (but still logical). A small point for the developer (Note: this does not affect game play, it's just the text at the end after you are done, and somewhat the beginning as all, again, it doesn't affect game play) Developer: the ending text (and a little bit the beginning also) made me cringe. I'd suggest you have a fluent English speaker help you to improve your translation. The problem is not only the translation, (it's clunky, but it IS understandable mostly) But the narrator comes sounds like an awful person! He talks like a very spoiled and rude little boy who is ungrateful and disrespectful to his grandfather (the grandfather is fine). Partially this is the translation, but it is also a cultural thing, IMHO. I don't think most non-Asians know or understand about the money envelope tradition of New Year's (and I'm just assuming it's similar to the Chinese, though it wasn't clear if this was a lunar New Year's or Jan 1st New Year's, which is the only one Europe and the Americas celebrate). Without this understanding your character seems really rude and spoiled! It's a small point, bit I think you could add a few lines in the text that would help explain more what is going on and improve the translation to make your main character seem more pleasant (incidentally, translation is a problem with many of your games, IMHO, but I'm sure you could find someone to help) But otherwise, it IS a good game!

★★★★★ Interesting puzzles and soothing graphics. The only complaint I have is that the hints could be improved, especially the amidakuji (ghost leg) puzzle. That puzzle isn't something most Westerners are familiar with. A couple extra arrows or clues would ease a lot of the frustration. The people who are saying you need to understand or read Japanese characters are wrong, don't let that put you off. I can't read them and was able to solve the puzzle by just looking at shapes.

★★☆☆☆ Hey Nakamura, never use that ridiculous "ladder puzzle" again. You can see how many people got stuck here (2018 and daruma dolls with switched colors) because they don't understand how to solve it. Maybe it's a common type of puzzles in Japan, but it's not well-known in Europe. I saw those annoying "ladders" in a couple of your other games and it was so frustrating, even hints were misleading and unclear. I still don't completely understand the solution. Kanji in your games are very off putting too

★★☆☆☆ Colors on the masks to match 2018 are WRONG! Can't take screenshots in this version. Other games, like Prison Exits are better. This one, because of the glitch, terrible. Too bad, too.

★★☆☆☆ Not solvable without hints. There is a color glitch with the dogs. Unless you understand characters one of the drawers can't be opened. Some, even knowing the answer, I could not connect the answer to the puzzle. You are better off with one of the multi level apps from this maker
