Eternal Horror

A dark card game told like a storybook.

You lead a small company of the living against the things that hunt them. Every fight is a board. Take turns placing cards; when your card's number beats the number on the touching side, you take that card. Fill the board holding the majority and the night is yours. Lose it and the dark rides on.

THE HAUNTS
Sleepy Hollow, where a headless rider takes the covered bridge. The Laboratory, where lightning serves no master. The Sea, where a mad captain hunts a god. The Forest, where what the witch plants, grows. Eighteen levels across four haunts, each with its own board shapes, its own foes and its own chapter of the story. The road goes on from there.

THE CARDS
Twenty-one cards drawn from the horror canon: Ichabod Crane, the Headless Horseman, Doctor Frankenstein and his creation, Captain Ahab, Nemo and the Nautilus, Allan Quatermain, Madame Divina, the Werewolf, Keziah Mason, Dagon, and the mobs that serve them. Every named card has a power that changes how the board plays. Every capture has its own strike.

THE RELICS
Seven relics, two per battle, each fires once. A blunderbuss for the living, a decapitator for the bold, a star map that needs a captain's eye, a lightning rod only a scientist dares hold. Every relic has a haunt where it is the wrong pick.

HOW IT PLAYS
• Hands are hidden. Read the board, not the opponent.
• Captures happen on placement only. No chains, no surprises you couldn't have seen.
• A tied board goes to Sudden Death: a smaller board, a winner guaranteed.
• Classes and trades matter. Weapons hit humans. Hunters strike monsters harder. Only one book touches the witch.
• A museum keeps everything you've earned: cards, relics, lore and the story so far.
