Even Keel: Cleaning Routine

Most cleaning apps hand you the same generic checklist whether you're a single person in a studio or a family of five with two dogs. Even Keel doesn't. It builds your cleaning routine around your actual home — how many people live there, what equipment you own, and how each room really gets used — and then keeps that routine current automatically, with almost no upkeep from you.

Why Even Keel is different

Most chore apps fall into one of two traps: they're either a wall of tasks that's overwhelming to even open, or a rigid weekly calendar that falls apart the moment life gets busy. A few try to fix this with streaks, points, and guilt-trip notifications — which is great if you want a game, but exhausting if you just want a clean home.

Even Keel takes a calmer approach:

Zero setup required. Answer a few quick questions about your home during onboarding — or skip them entirely — and Even Keel is instantly ready with a full, working task list. No hours spent building a chore chart from scratch.
A real freshness score, not a guess. Every task's urgency is calculated from how long it's actually been since it was last done, how often it needs doing, and how much your home is used — more people and pets naturally mean things get dirty faster, and Even Keel accounts for that automatically.
Short, realistic daily lists. Instead of dumping every chore on you at once, Even Keel picks a handful of the most urgent tasks that fit in your actual free time, organized into the time windows you set — a morning slot, an evening slot, or whatever fits your day.
Reminders that respect your time. A single notification arrives before each time window starts, and you can mark a task done, push it to later, or dismiss it entirely — right from the notification, no need to even open the app.
Nothing forced on you. Don't own a vacuum? Tasks that need one are automatically hidden until you do. Task doesn't apply to your home? Exclude it in one tap, and it's gone until you decide to bring it back.
Fully customizable. Every task — timing, frequency, importance, which tools it needs — can be edited, or you can add your own from scratch in seconds.
A simple history, not a scoreboard. The Journal tab shows what you've actually completed and when — honest, factual, and free of streaks or badges that make you feel bad on an off week.
Private by design. No account, no sign-up, no cloud sync. Everything lives on your device.

Whether you're searching for a cleaning schedule app, a chore tracker, a housework planner, or just a smarter way to keep your home in order without the mental overhead of remembering everything yourself, Even Keel is built to disappear into your routine — not add another thing to manage.

Steady, sustainable, even keel. That's the whole idea.
