Tap the compass and find your nearest Roman road station on the Tabula Peutingeriana — a 1,700-year-old map of the entire ancient world, from Britannia to India, from the Rhine to the Sahara.
WHAT IS THE TABULA PEUTINGERIANA? The Tabula Peutingeriana is a 13th-century parchment copy of a late-antique Roman road map, 6.75 metres long. It shows roads, distances, and settlements across the Roman Empire as it looked around 300–400 AD. The original is held at the Österreichische Nationalbibliothek in Vienna and is a UNESCO Memory of the World (2007).
