Description
The app is designed to work with BMW F and G-series vehicles, both for workshop staff and owners. eXtratool has a number of unique features and excels in this respect over the dealer's ISTA diagnostics. The ability to switch off the Xdrive all-wheel-drive system and the Valvetronic valve stroke control system, the temperature history of the automatic transmission. Using the eXtratool, you can professionally diagnose your vehicle yourself and save money on servicing. The app will also help you check your vehicle before you buy it. Works with Bluetooth ELM327 adapter v.1.5 (two plate versions from China), as well as OBDLink LX adapter
Main features: - Reading and full detailed decoding of absolutely all errors (including shadow errors) in all control units in your native language (not only P0420/P0430 like other OBDII scanners) - Fast erase of all faults - 2WD MDrive mode. Disable all wheel drive system (for checking X-drive or drifting) - Disable and enable Valvetronic stroke control system (for diagnostic purposes) - Read automatic transmission adaptation value ( evaluation of automatic transmission wear) - Reading automatic transmission temperature history (temperature during transmission operation and time at which the transmission is operated) - Read transmission sport launch start history ( detects the condition of the transmission) - Disabling EGR in diesel engines (less fouling of the intake manifold, less wear and tear on the engine), not all ecu supported - Registration of battery exchange ( allows independent replacement of the battery) - Connection of control units "on the bench" for functional testing, diagnosis or programming - Fits the rear brakes in mounting position for self-replacing without the need for expensive dealer equipment - Read mileage and VIN number from all control units (G-series only) - Fuel pump activation in up to 20 minutes - Rapid removal of transport mode - Activation of radiator shutters - Service mode and change air suspension level - Activating and deactivating showroom mode - Convenient checking of lights and washers - Starting/stopping and unlocking the auxiliary heater - Resetting BDC G-series units in situations where the key is not recognized - Checking FRM3 for E-Series

Stay away. Stay far away. You have been warned. This app actually modified some random coding files in 2 vehicles I'm personally aware of, another guy on the forum claimed it enabled a vacuum modulator function for the tailpipe that never existed and needed stamp to ref lash base code to fix. You were warned, however, in the sense of kindness I'd assume the app may work fine for some cases.

While I was very excited and ready to purchase the app as I'm a BMW enthusiast and own other apps for coding etc. More than half the features don't work, app is a poor attempt at making a great software. The user interface is rudimentary like it was made by a school kid. Developers give no useful assistance. Upon genuinely being interested in purchasing the app, or subscription I emailed the developer only to realize that the developers are touchy and irritable. Too bad. I really wanted it.
