PSA: To everyone with crashing app. If you turn on airplane mode and then turn on Wi-Fi and connect, the app will work. I've managed to fly and take some pictures. To the devs: My suggestion is that the problem happens, because newer android versions have auto-switch network. So what happens is, when you connect to the drone, it detects that the internet connection is missing. It stays connected to the drone, but uses cellular data, which then makes the app crash, because it cannot find the drone on cellular. Hope it helps. I've tried it on both my pixel 2 xl and a friend's Galaxy S5, but it crashes on device selection. The pixel is running Android pie. I really like the drone, I'm flying it using the controller, but I cannot take pictures, which makes me sad. Please work on the app, because it's fundamental. After dealing with the problem, I can say that the app works semi-well. Didn't have the time to test it properly, but I'll update my post, when I'm done.
★★☆☆☆
Received the drone today and was able to use it one time. Since then, the app crashes each time I try to connect either the controller or my phone (LG V20).
★★☆☆☆
The drone is unsafe to fly. It auto lands constantly and can not use any of its gps features. It's cannot hold its position. If you fly this drone it will drift off. The drone is very slow and slugist to respond to control imputs. I recommend to not fly your drone until they fix this app.
★★☆☆☆
Using Android 8 and am unable to run the calibration via the app. App connects to the drone fine but says prearm: compass calibration failed. The app says calibration passed. So it looks like there is no option in android app for compass calibration without which I can't fly this drone.
