By Marolya, from Google Play“The whole family's reading log: one shared library, everyone their own.”
Description by Marolya Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
One shared library for the household, and for each person their own reading record: how far they have got, what they thought of it, the quotes they kept. The calendar fills up with the covers of the books you read, day after day.
EVERYTHING A READER EXPECTS
• The cover calendar: a month of reading at a glance.
• Add a book in one move: title, author, barcode, ISBN or by hand, and complete it later with its ISBN.
• Honest statuses: to read, reading, paused, finished, dropped, to reread. Dropping a book is not a failure.
• Reading timer: start, pause, stop — the session is saved with its duration.
• Paper, e-reader or audio: pages read and listening time are counted separately. An audiobook never turns into "pages".
• Journal and quotes: your notes and favourite passages — take a photo of a page and the text is extracted for you.
• Series, collections and author pages: never lose track of a saga again.
• Lent, borrowed, to buy: note where each copy is — at home, lent to Paul, borrowed, to buy, or no longer at home.
• The wheel: can't decide? It draws from your to-read pile, with your filters (format, length, genre).
• Goals, not pressure: a daily or yearly goal for each member, never imposed on the whole household.
• Statistics and year in review: pages, listening time, formats, genres.
ONE HOUSEHOLD, ONE LIBRARY, EVERYONE THEIR OWN READING
• The novel that goes from hand to hand exists only once — and everyone keeps their own record.
• Read together or on your own: a book read aloud has one shared record.
• Children too: a child without an account has their own record, kept by their parents. The day they create an account, their whole history is there.
• The household's month: who read what this month, for the pleasure of talking about it — never a leaderboard.
SHARING WITH LOVED ONES WHO LIVE ELSEWHERE
Become the correspondent of someone from another household: your mother, a friend, a book club. Their library opens in a tab of yours: tap a book to see its page and what they thought of it, then add it to your own — borrowed, to buy or already there. The other way round, suggest one of your books: they add it in one tap, or say "no thanks".
No messaging, no feed, no comments. You add someone by their exact email address, they have to accept, and either of you can end it at any time. Your reviews and quotes stay private unless you open them one by one.
PRICING
Free for one reader: up to 15 books in your library, 3 series, 2 collections, statistics for the current year.
Premium: €1.99 a month or €19.99 a year, 7-day trial, cancel anytime. One subscription covers the whole household: up to 10 members, correspondents from other households, shared reads, unlimited books, series and collections, quote extraction from photos, statistics for every year, year in review, the household's month, Sepia and Night themes, CSV export.
The subscription is taken out on famibook.marolya.fr.
