I don't know why there are so many bad reviews for this app. I love fandor. They have a great selection of indie films. One of my few criticisms besides the video quality is definitely the lack of subtitles. I'm hard of hearing and not having subtitles makes it difficult to enjoy the film.

The reviews are harsh and underappreciaive. Selection is pretty if you're actually into films, not just stuff that's pushed by big production companies. Their interface is okay though, it's no Netflix.

Year free trial came from Costco otherwise you need your head examined. 2hr movies take 3hrs to view with all the stopping then starting that goes on!

Terrible app. I got free fandor subscription when I signed up for moviepass. Literally, not even worth the space it takes up in the phone. The movie selection is equivalent of a box of random VHS tapes I see at garage sales. If anyone paid for fandor, they are out of their mind or it is their first day on the internet.

Fandor isn't currently a functioning company...🤷🏼♀️ And I only just found that out today when I tried to subscribe to them, only to have the page do nothing with my payment info... It signed me up as a member—without a sub, yet it *still* encourages me to sub. They laid off a huge portion of their staff in Dec '18 and have, apparently, just been hoping for a buyer since then... all while not telling subscribers anything; just refusing their payment.
