Comments on Fateful Lore, 8-bit retro RPG for Android
★★★★★
Immediately reminded me of Dragon Warrior. Loved finding Erdrick's final resting place right away! This is a straightforward, simple rpg with heartwarming nostalgia.
★★★★★
I'm at level 20 played for 20 hours it's pretty dope. I like seeing what new things I can get, from exploring. I wish the potions where stacked. Instead of having multiple potions spread, in the items' menu. Also, I wish there was a weakness system with spells. The earlier magics have no use, because you do more damage with your regular attacks.

Easily seen where the influence for this came from, my favorite type of game from the same games that I loved playing when I got into rpgs, thank you
★★☆☆☆
I like how the game looks, but there are way too many encounters, and you can't zoom the map out to figure out how to get to the tower, no compass rose to help with direction. Waste of my time.

Well well well...this needs more wells! I am still early and yet some core gameplay ideas show flaws. Devs must learn from the past instead of only mimicry. In DQ1, bridges were a visual progression that signposted 'tough mobs ahead'. Nothing like that here. No warning or townsfolk rumors. Exp and Gold are severely stingy even by retro standards. I played DW1 back then! Significantly tough mobs give abysmal rewards. No mob drops either. Rare in DW1 but still there. Not here. Grind is boring.
★★☆☆☆
I've been playing RPG since FF1 for NES this game is a lot like Dragon Warrior I for NES Fateful Lore is a good game BUT MP needs to raise higher during level up I'm at level 23 my MP is only 77 and latest spells use 30-40 MP each ridiculous! And also enemies have way too much hit points for my level my attack is 197 and still not much of a change in attacking with older enemies plus armor defense makes no sense I'm not even going to attempt the 3rd tower spell damage always the same boring now
