Description
Field Book is a simple app for collecting phenotypic notes in the field. This has traditionally been a laborious process requiring handwriting notes and transcribing data for analysis. Field Book was created to replace paper field books and to boost collection speed with increased data integrity.
Field Book uses custom layouts for different types of data that allow rapid data entry. Traits being collected are defined by the user and can be exported and transferred between devices. Sample files are provided with the installation.
Field Book is part of the broader PhenoApps initiative, an effort to modernize plant breeding and genetics data collection and organization via by developing new strategies and tools for data capture.
Development of Field Book has been supported by the Collaborative Crop Research Program of The McKnight Foundation, the National Science Foundation, the USDA National Institute for Food and Agriculture, and the United States Agency for International Development. Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed do not necessarily reflect the views of these organizations.

I have used this for two seasons and enjoy it (5 stars). However, the new updates are crashing my device whenever pressing anything in the Collect window. I will have to change my data collection this season if no resolution is found. Edit: Trevor was a great help to resolve my issue promptly. Simply reach out to them for assistance.

Great App in every sense of the word. Using it for rice breeding and has been working excellently. I recently have a little issue though; trying to import a field and keeps telling me "Unique identifier column contains duplicate or has already been used in a different file" though the column contains uuids with no duplicates at all and no other existing field has any of the uuids in the unique identifier column. Any assistance with this will be deeply appreciated. Thanks team PhenoApp.

I suggest and request after an update you test the app. Otherwise, the updated version is to slow while cycling between traits .we need a quick improvement on the speed for bitterness and smoothness of our work

The new update is not user-friendly. The trait list is not in order and can not be adjusted. We can't take data with this new update. Please do something about it or bring back the old version

App bricks itself when you try and add fields, says an error has occurred
and then shuts the app down every time you try and open it. The app must be
removed and reinstalled to fix this, but then you've got to load all your
files back onto it and the app just might brick itself again. Super
frustrating

Keep getting an error about duplicate values when importing csv file. There are absolutely no duplicates in the column so not sure what's going on.
