Fields of Asphodel

★★★★★ I quite like it. You play as a Persephone (man or woman) that is forced to leave your overprotective mother and forced to marry Hades, who doesn't want to be the groom/bride either. Forced to live in the underworld, you must deal with titans breaking out while deciding where you belong, Olympus or the underworld? Small.tiny warning- hades romance is full of emotion, but it's truly slow. Bruning romance. Hand holding is 2nd base for this couple. *the progress bug was fixed*

★★★★★ Fields of Asphodel was a very interesting experience for me. Both the story and characters are great! Really the only minor complaint I have is that I wish I could choose my own domain instead of being stuck with one. Outside of that, no complaints! I can't wait for the sequel!

★★☆☆☆ It's an okay-ish read. The characters are written well with depth, but things and interactions seem to happen around you rather than you having any influence. Most problems are talked about rather than shown. Not to mention the MC is sort of coddled. Obviously it's a book trying to make a safe place for sensory sensitive people (like myself) but EVERY other character seems to baby you a bit. Conflicts resolve without you, pretty much no one at all dislikes you, and the stakes are painfully low.

★★☆☆☆ It's another example of quantity over quality. The word count is impressive, but the story is insufferably boring and derivative. It also shoves social messaging down your throat as has been common in many recent CoG/HG releases.
