The game is brutal, but playable without pay-to-win. The time period until your first winter is strict, with zero mistakes allowed. So I find myself restarting a lot, but after it, the game plays itself once you know what to prioritize and the final layout of your outpost. I cheated and downloaded a moded apk to figure that out, so a personal suggestion to the devs: Make the game less tedious and introduce clickable ads for boost in revenue and player enjoyment, something like Ant Colony did.

The difficulty of the game has risen to bull crap. I had 6 knife fighters and 2 guards, both with their level 2 upgrades, and they couldn't even defend a wall with 1000 health. What is one to do at that point?

Bloody hell food storage stores 5 food bro my mini fridge can store more than 5 food at the very least and people eating food like do they not sleep and just eat my goodness plus the zombies are thicker, faster,stronger and all I got is gate and knives and knives are supposed to be a quiet weapon, but it's loud oh well moving on then nice try though, but I ain't a zombie to buy packs for real money like the ptw players are

I got far. But then there is this irritating bug. During the dsy, my peoples don't come out of their tents, so the time is moving forward, yet no resources is gathered. At night, my people don't come out to protect the outpost. Guess what, me lose. Stupid bug to be really honest.
