★★★★★
Excellent recognition in English and non-English languages, multiple output formats supported, very small output file size while retaining superb quality.

Unfortunately it works only with PDFs you create on the app, it can't OCR
files you already have. It was my reason to buy it :(
★★★★★
This app has saved me on several occasions. Been out of town & no access to a desktop scanner. I was able to take care of business & have a copy of my document. Love this app.
★★☆☆☆
This product fails with simple scans. It does not work as the video demonstrates. Any non-straight-text cannot be resolved, including images. Mixing script and non-script fails. It fails even straight-on scans with straight text, producing warped, non-translatable scans. Even if were free, this is unusable. The price paid is so overinflated in value as to what this actually does. Outputs to Word or pdf are laughably bad, with the brutally incompetent recognition, which is required to be online. There is no offline functionality that is usable.
★★☆☆☆
The text recognition is as good as it gets. The interface is awful and it's
hit and miss if it actually works unfortunately. Currently it's miss. They
claim + Import PDF files from any app into FineScanner to OCR text. But it
doesn't do it. It's simply not a feature of the app at all. It's not that
it doesn't work. It's so badly put together it's amazing they have the
audacity to charge for it. Exported pdfs lose the name you gave them,
reverting to their automatic names. The only way to download to your phone
is to open with third party app and the save it. I could go on...
★★☆☆☆
Not a good app to scan books. App doesn't recognize book edges and cuts off corners. Also many pages are blurry and many re-takes are necessary. Finally, I scanned a poor copy of a 285 page book, but it wouldn't share to email or anywhere else - just stalled in processing. Very disappointing. I might as well just take pictures of the books and save the $60.
