I just got it and tested it, and it looks like it works as advertised on my Verizon Galaxy S7 with the newest version of Android (7.0 Nougat). A lot of other apps of this sort had reviews about things not working, or only working in the paid version (like sms) . This app does exactly what I need for free : alert me with custom noises and vibrations when specific contacts text or call me, even if my phone is set to vibrate. Thanks for a great app! Now I can leave my phone quiet at night and still get woken up if my servers go down. :)

Very good! Recently Hangouts said it won't be handling SMS anymore so I switched to FB Messenger. Now FA2 doesn't seem to trigger on texts handled by FB... I am not sure how to fix it. It worked great with Hangouts. Still, this is a fantastic app, maybe we can get the issue fixed.

It does not work at all, being in search and rescue I need it to work but
it doesn't. No matter what settings I use and no matter if the sound is on
at the phone or if it is in silent mode! It's not working at all and that's
really bad for me, I've missed some operations because it's not working!

not happy with the app. Works occasionally and hasnt since it was updated. Used to work 100% on my old phone but since upgrading to a Samsung A8 its very hit and miss.

App works about 1/8 of the time... worked well when I first got it, now having on going issues with it even going off... people on my department having similar issues as well Update: app works as expected after receiving an email from the team explaining how to add it to the battery save exception list. Thanks for the quick reply!

FireAlert2 promises much but sadly falls short. It has a lot of potential but seems to be let down by limited development and support. SMS triggers don't always work (I can't afford to miss one because it doesn't fire off), and it's impossible to use email triggers unless you use the very ageing K-9 client, which in itself is a badly developed product (No support for modern Exchange servers, No support for Office 365). Sadly I find myself looking for a more complete alternative.
