Shhh! Don't tell them it's not just a game Don't laugh.. my high schoolers are having as much fun with this Math app as the younger ones. And I admit that I had a blast playing on it too! As soon as I installed the app I could hear giggles and Yay! Woohoo! coming from the other room. Then I hear, "What happens if you miss one?" They miss one of purpose to hear it say, "Uh Un" with of course more giggles. Splash Math - First Grade Learning Math Games for kids. The grade 1 free apps cover 13 chapters and 185 math skills in addition and subtraction, counting money and other math skills. I think we have found a new game, I mean Math App for the kids to practice their Math facts. To them it is a super cool game, to me it is a way to get them to practice without listening to the usual whining that goes along with speed drills or flash cards. From a parental view I like being able to set the number of questions, the range of numbers and if the activity is timed. I also like being able to select the skill set the student needs to work on. My kids think it is a game for them to earn fish, crabs and other goodies for their new aquarium game. Please don't tell them any different!

Great for Visual Learners! My Granddaughter, Samantha loves this grade 1 math app. There is a lot of content and the math concepts are represented by visual aids to reinforce the math being practiced in the equations. This is a great help for visual learners. None of the questions are timed and your child can take as much or as little time as they like for each question without any ‘timer anxiety’. Samantha enjoys being able to pause and stop her practice at any point and she asks to play all the time. I am so glad that I made the choice to purchase the full version!

Free version only 20 questions per day This is a good app and the fish tank rewards are genius (currently looking for more apps with something similar), but the free version is actually just a free trial. I don't expect free versions of apps to have everything. I know developers need to encourage people to buy the full app, but I do not expect the app to completely lock you out of playing after 10 minutes. There is nothing you can do after 20 questions. I would have considered buying the full version if not for this. Disingenuous.

Not Working This is a great app, when it works. I have used this app before for students on an iPad, but it is not working on my ASUS. The Math facts doesn't load anything and the practice section freezes up.
