All you have to do is go to app info and disable the app also go to permissions and switch it to not over all apps, and it won't pop up there's no way to uninstall, but that's the way to disable it and keep it off the lock screen

Tablet lost Wi-Fi, but had this new First News unclosable window... Had to factory reset to get Wi-Fi!

The most flagrant PUP I have ever encountered. So first off, can't be disabled, uninstalled hidden or anything. Don't want this application but can't get rid of it.... Totally unimpressed
