Five Quid Chef

Five Quid Chef was built for real life in the UK.

Healthy food shouldn’t be expensive.
It shouldn’t be complicated.
And it definitely shouldn’t be ultra-processed.

This app started because one person wanted affordable, genuinely healthy meals for his own household — using real UK supermarket pricing — without spending a fortune or relying on jars and packets.

Inside Five Quid Chef every recipe is:

• Under £5 for two servings (UK pricing)
• Under 500 calories per serving
• Made from whole foods
• 100% UPF-free
• Cooked from scratch

No gimmicks.
No “health halo” marketing.
Just proper food that fits real UK budgets.

From filling dinners and balanced breakfasts to smart snacks and smoothies, everything is designed to make everyday cooking simpler, cheaper and healthier.

👩‍🍳 Mini Chef – Storybook Recipes for Kids

Five Quid Chef also includes Mini Chef — a dedicated children’s cooking section designed to get kids confidently involved in the kitchen.

Mini Chef turns recipes into Storybooks.

Each meal becomes an engaging, step-by-step story that:

• Teaches real kitchen skills
• Encourages kids to try new foods
• Explains where ingredients come from
• Builds confidence through cooking

It’s not just recipes.
It’s learning through doing.

From hesitant eaters to asking, “What are we making next?”

If you want simple, affordable meals made from real ingredients — built around UK supermarket prices — Five Quid Chef keeps it straightforward.

Healthy.
Affordable.
