Description
Using this app you can report common street, highway and environmental problems, like potholes, fly-tipping or broken street lights, to councils and some other public authorities throughout the UK.
All you have to do is type in a UK postcode – or choose ‘Use my current location’ to be located automatically via GPS – and describe your problem. Then we send your report to the people who can fix it.
It works online and offline, because we know there isn't always a signal when you need one. If you start a report while offline, don’t forget to return to the app to submit it when you’re connected to the internet again.
Please note: FixMyStreet should not be used for reporting emergencies (such as gas leaks or other life-threatening situations), non-physical things (such as noise pollution or anti-social behaviour) or issues on private roads which cannot be fixed by a public authority.

Works well. Easier to use than the council's own online system for reporting non-working traffic lights, fly tipping, etc. And they do deal with the issues reported. Also, you can see what problems other people have reported, and add to those reports if appropriate rather than creating a duplicate.

FixmyStreet does the impossible and gets the council to do something. It is a much easier way to report issues than phoning or emailing the council. It would be nice if I didn't have to verify every report but still gets 5’s because of the amazing service.

This has to be the best thing for people and councils of reporting issues. Straight to the right person and issues usually resolved in 24 hours its amazing and something the public sector seriously needed

The app has stopped letting me take photos. I now have to take the photo before I start the report and upload it. I suppose one way of stopping people from quickly reporting a problem.

Good idea but the map UI is dreadful, almost impossible to zoom, pan and select.

Doesn't work anymore! 'Makes sending reports simple'? You must be joking!!! Have tried for 3 days to send report on a water leak but get message that it's an invalid report enter full name council needs this....and please select a category (nothing to select). Back to website for reporting problems.

I've successfully reported issues before, but I just tried to report one, submitted it, and it seems to have vanished into the either. When I try to log in, it doesn't do anything and just takes me back to the login page. I can log in fine using the website using the website on my PC.
