Flarven Jokrin

Flarven Jokrin is a game notebook for tabletop strategies where you run a settlement: population, jobs, resources, expeditions and rounds. It holds the state of your side of the board so none of it depends on memory.

Expedition timers run in real time, with the app closed.

Record a trip once: name, destination, the settlers going, the purpose, how long it takes. The app saves the start time and the end time instead of running a counter, so closing the app, switching to something else or leaving the phone alone for an hour changes nothing. The remaining time is still correct when you come back, and a finished expedition is sitting there marked as waiting for a result. Pause it when the table pauses. Resume when play resumes.

Closing an expedition means writing down the outcome in your own words: the settlers who returned, the resources found, the losses. The app then releases those settlers back into the free pool, adds the resources to your stock and files the trip in the expedition history. After a few sessions that history is a record of which destinations pay and which ones never have.

The population always adds up.

Settlers are free, working or away, and those three numbers are checked against each other automatically. Assign a settler to a job and the free count changes. Send that settler out and the job is vacated. You cannot end up with one person committed in two places.

Jobs and resources are defined by you.

Lumberjack, hunter, builder, guard, scout, or whatever your ruleset calls them. Wood, food, stone, coin, influence, or whatever it counts. Each resource shows its amount with quick plus and minus controls and takes a note on the change, so a drop in food has a reason attached rather than being a mystery three turns later.

Problems are written as a situation and a plan.

A problem record holds what is wrong, the result you need, the plan to get there, a priority and a status. Not enough wood, so ten more per turn is needed, so two settlers move to lumber, so the second hut gets built, so the settlement houses more people, so the jobs get redistributed again. Written this way, your settlement history explains itself: every change has the reasoning that produced it stored next to it.

The turn plan keeps the round on the rails.

List your intended actions in order before the round starts and mark each one planned, done or cancelled as you go. Tabletop turns get interrupted constantly, and an ordered list is the fastest way back into your own plan after a negotiation has eaten ten minutes.

Other players have their own pages.

Keep what each one controls, the agreements you have with them, what they promised, and what they promised and did not do. Quick notes live on the same page, since the thing worth writing down usually happens while it is somebody else's turn.

Rounds, history and the log.

Starting the next round stores a snapshot of the settlement: population, resources, what was accomplished. The game log records events round by round, so you can read back through the sequence instead of staring at one current figure and guessing how you reached it.

Next Actions on the home screen.

One card showing what needs attention right now: expeditions that have finished, settlers doing nothing, problems with no plan, plan items still open. It is the first thing you look at when your turn comes around.

What the app does not do.

It does not apply rules, calculate production or validate your decisions. Every number is one you entered after the table agreed on it. That is deliberate, and it is why the app fits any edition, any expansion and any set of house rules rather than being locked to one.

Everything saves as you type and everything works offline. There is no account and no registration, and the only permission ever requested is notifications, asked the first time you start a timer. Search runs across settlers, jobs, resources, expeditions, players, problems, plans and the log at once.
