Flash RSS Reader

Flash is a calm, simple RSS reader and news reader for people who want their news without the endless scroll.

Pick the sources you trust, read what's new, and get on with your day. When you've read everything, Flash tells you, calmly: that's everything for now, see you later. No algorithm deciding what you see, no infinite feed built to keep you hooked.

New to RSS? You don't need to know what it is. RSS feeds are how news sites publish their latest articles, and Flash collects them into one clean list for you. Choose a few topics and Flash sets you up with trusted, free-to-read news sources in your language.

YOUR NEWS, YOUR SOURCES
- Follow any news site, blog or website with an RSS or Atom feed
- Start in seconds with 15 topics, from World News, Tech and Science to Sports, Food, Music and Gaming
- Starter sources in English, German, Spanish, French and Italian
- Search for new feeds by name or topic
- Sort your feeds into colour-coded categories and swipe between them
- Star your favourite sources so their articles always come first

STAY ON TOP OF WHAT MATTERS
- Keyword alerts: get notified when a name, company or topic you follow appears in any feed
- Keyword blocking: hide the subjects you never want to see again
- The same story from the same link shows once, not five times

READ WITHOUT THE CLUTTER
- A built-in reader that blocks ads and trackers on news pages
- Switch to a clean, text-only view in one tap
- Bookmark articles for offline reading, on the train or on a plane
- Light and dark themes, plus a classic Newspaper mode

AI SUMMARIES ON SUPPORTED PHONES
On phones with Google's on-device AI (Gemini Nano), Flash summarises an article in one tap, right on your phone. On other phones, you can turn summaries on with your own Gemini API key in Advanced settings.

MADE FOR TABLETS AND FOLDABLES
Tablets get a real three-column news reader: navigation, article list and reading pane side by side. Foldables switch between phone and tablet layouts as you fold and unfold.

YOUR READING STAYS YOURS
- No account, no sign-in
- Your feeds, keywords, bookmarks and reading history stay on your phone
- No server of mine ever sees what you read
- Import and export your feeds as OPML to move from another feed reader in minutes
- Back up your whole library to a file

FAIR AND SIMPLE
Flash is free, with a few clearly labelled ads in the article list. A single one-time purchase removes them for good. No subscription, ever.

WHO FLASH IS FOR
