By Recursive Forge, from Google Play“A 2D hero in a 3D world. Rotate dimensions, solve puzzles and uncover the truth.”
Description by Recursive Forge Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
Then Dr. Volume changed everything.
Without much explanation, the mysterious doctor has brought Flatguy into a strange three-dimensional world — promising that, if he follows along, he may eventually understand the mystery of the Third Dimension.
There is only one problem: Flatguy is still completely flat.
He can move left and right. He can jump. But the world around him extends in directions he cannot enter or even perceive in the way we do.
Fortunately, Dr. Volume has given him one remarkable ability: Flatguy can rotate his two-dimensional plane through the three-dimensional world.
And suddenly, geometry becomes a means of travel.
A wall blocking the way can disappear. A distant platform can intersect Flatguy's plane. Separate structures can become connected. Hidden passages, stars and entirely new paths appear simply because Flatguy is looking at the same three-dimensional world from a different two-dimensional slice.
To help him uncover Dr. Volume's mystery, you will have to learn to think like Flatguy.
Explore handcrafted 3D environments through the limited perspective of a two-dimensional character. Rotate his plane, understand how it intersects the world, collect hidden stars and find a path to the exit.
What starts as a simple spatial puzzle gradually becomes an experiment in dimensional thinking.

FROM FLATLAND TO FLATGUY
Flatguy is strongly inspired by Edwin A. Abbott's 1884 novella Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions.
Abbott imagined a two-dimensional world whose inhabitants struggle to comprehend a third dimension beyond their experience. Flatguy takes that famous thought experiment and turns it into a puzzle game.
Instead of merely being told that another dimension exists, Flatguy has been dropped straight into it.
Through his journey with the suspiciously enthusiastic Dr. Volume, you experience a three-dimensional world one two-dimensional slice at a time — learning to understand spaces Flatguy himself can never fully see.
Perhaps, after helping a two-dimensional character comprehend our three dimensions, imagining a fourth won't seem quite so impossible.
