This app allows you to track the real-time flight status and see the live map flight track of any commercial flight worldwide and general aviation (private, charter, etc) in the United States and Canada.

Track by aircraft registration, route, airline, flight number, city pair, or airport code. Tracking data includes complete flight details and full-screen maps with NEXRAD radar overlay.

Receive real-time push notification flight alerts, view airport delays, see nearby flights (in the sky overhead), and more!

Permission to access your Contacts is used only when you choose to create a flight alert to be sent to another person. We do not store or transmit your contacts list in any other way.

This app is easy to use. I use live ATC along with this app, so I can listen to the aircraft communications during their flight. I also have a Kenwood tri-band TH-6A that is also a wideband handheld receiver. I can receive aircraft in the Long Beach, California area. I love the FlightAware Flight Tracker app because it provides airport weather info at the departure airport, as well as the destination airport. It even tells you what "gates" the aircraft will be using.

Used to be fine, but now it's not letting me choose the flight I want to track - I select a flight for tomorrow, and it gives me one that's arrived today. Why would I want to track a flight that's already landed - I can get that from the airport. Hope it's just a year-end glitch.

I am a contributing member of this community. This has been my go-to app when I fly to keep track of my flights, but it has now become more of a hassle to use than it is worth. Every time I exit the app I have to completely log back in to be able to use it. Logging back in includes getting a code from my email, then getting a code from my authenticator app (and from the authenticator app you can't copy and paste, it has to be manually input).

It should not be this hard to use a flight tracking app. I set it to track a flight leaving tomorrow, and it's tracking the same flight that already left today. The web portal has an incredibly stupid design and horrible to use on a mobile phone's screen.
