Description
You are Vladislav, the old gardener of Borek. Seventy years old, silver-haired, a parrot on your shoulder, and thirty days between your village and oblivion. FLOWERS FOR WENCESLAS is a cozy gardening strategy game set in a small Czech village by the river. Your mission: turn the overgrown riverbank into a blooming paradise before St. Wenceslas Day — or a Prague developer will buy the land and Borek will cease to exist.
PLANT THE VILLAGE GARDEN Five flower species — daisies, tulips, roses, sunflowers, lavender — each with their own price, water thirst and beauty score. Start cheap to fill the beds fast. Finish with roses and sunflowers to impress the tourists.
LIVE THIRTY DAYS OF EVENTS Thunderstorms that water everything for free. A drought on day 14 that doubles your work. Schoolchildren who show up with spare hands. Grandma Růžena brings a secret fertilizer. Developer Patrik offers to buy the land — you refuse. Every day tells a small story.
BEWARE MILAN’S GOATS Your neighbour Milan drinks one beer a day to stay calm. When the beer counter hits zero, his goats break the fence and stomp a random flower bed every night. On day 20 Milan finally fixes the fence — if you can make it that far.
MEET THE VILLAGERS Six hand-drawn characters with real personalities: Milena who runs the bar “U Václava”, Mayor Pavel scraping bonuses from the town chest, Grandma Růžena and her black cat Micka, grumpy toothless Milan — and Patrik, the egg-headed villain in round glasses.
THE FESTIVAL ARRIVES On day 30 the tourists come. Reach 60% beauty and Milena sells her beer, the village thrives, Patrik leaves empty-handed. Fall short, and the riverbank becomes apartment blocks.
